Princess Park
Home to the Princess Statue and a log cabin museum of the town’s history, Princess Park is a frequent eye catcher for people entering on the east side of town. Many tourists stop here to capture a picture with the famous princess statue. It’s a great place to stretch your legs when on a road trip, and also has a functioning public bathroom next to the log cabin.
Rialto Theatre
This high quality movie theater operates as a non-profit theatre, relying on volunteers and community support to keep the doors open and movies showing. There are eight movie showings every week, with a nightly 7 PM show plus a 2 PM Sunday matinee. Ticket prices as of 2023 are $5 for adults, $3 for kids, and $3 for everyone during the Sunday matinee. The theater occasionally hosts live events, such as high school music and drama productions and traveling bands or shows.
Pickleball Courts + Elbert Park
The Pocahontas Hometown Pride Committee and its partners have conducted a lot of projects at Elbert Park over the last few years, including a new refinished pickleball court and tennis court. The Elbert Park area is very expansive and also has basketball courts, fields for soccer and any open grass activity, baseball fields, playground equipment for all ages, shelter houses for social gatherings, campgrounds, and the community swimming pool. This is a great location to spend a few hours with friends and family, and the video shows how scenic the area is!
