PocaHAUNTus 2025

PocaHAUNTus Preps for A Third Thrilling Season

PocaHAUNTus returns for a third thrilling season this fall. The award winning haunted house runs from 7 to 10 PM each night on October 18, 24, 25, 31, and Nov. 1. The location of the event is the same as previous years, at the Pocahontas Fire Station Shed on Highway 4.

Every year of PocaHAUNTus has entirely new rooms and an entirely new layout, featuring scary concepts brought to life by the Pocahontas Chamber of Commerce. If you’ve been to it previous years, you can expect the same great quality with brand new twists and turns.

“We took our rooms to new heights this year,” commented Chamber Board Member Wendi Malecek, who is the mastermind behind the design and construction of PocaHAUNTus.

“And she means that literally,” followed Parker Aden, Executive Director for the Chamber. “A lot more rooms in the large part of the shed have extra height to them. The decorations stretch up higher (so make sure to look up!!) but the quality of the rooms are also higher. More things have been built this year than in previous ones, and we’re proud of that!”

Some classic rooms and themes will return, but with a brand new twist. The doll room and clown area have both been replaced in new locations and revamped. Rumor has it a new section of the haunted house will have attendees followed as they proceed through. As expected with haunted houses, strobe lights and smoke machines are used. You can view more information about the event on the Chamber’s website.

Admission is $15 per person, and each person is required to sign a waiver prior to entry. Proceeds from the haunted house serve as a fundraiser for the Pocahontas Fire Department, Chamber of Commerce, and a community project. Be sure to mark your calendar to enjoy a night of thrills at PocaHAUNTus this season! You can find the most recent updates on their Facebook page.
