Whitetail Ridge is located across the road from Cooper’s Cove. Watch for Bald Eagles, Wild Turkey, and a variety of hawks and woodpeckers. Whitetail Ridge is open for hunting with most activity occurring during deer, wild turkey, and pheasant seasons. Hike Whitetail Ridge that runs along Lizard Creek on the east side of the road, and Cooper’s Cove on the west side where you can stroll across a historic keystone bridge under majestic oaks and descend to an overview by a secluded pond before spending the night in the campground complete with new shower house.
