Meredith Park, also known as Plover Pit, is located 1 1/2 miles north of Plover on N57 in north central Pocahontas County. The park is a popular place for fishing, swimming, picnicking, and camping. Special features include an excellent 5.5-acre natural swimming and fishing lake with a beach, new playground created from 15,000 recycled milk jugs, shelter house with electricity, and campground. The Meredith Park Campground features 17 electric 50 amp camping sites with water hookups, a 6-person camping cabin, modern restrooms and showers, and a septic dump station. Please note that Pocahontas County Conservation does not take camping reservations. Camper registration envelopes are located in the campgrounds.
