Located 2 miles west on Highway 3 from Gilmore City and 5 1/2 miles south on 320th Ave, Lizard Lake is a special place with its old Indian Mounds, new shower house, and fishing opportunities. The park is adjacent to a 275 acre shallow bottom lake and wetland with a public fishing dock and boat ramp. The Lizard Lake Campground features a modern bathroom shower house and a 5 site campground, each with 50-Amp electric service and water hook-up. There is a septic dump station as well. Please note that Pocahontas County Conservation does not take camping reservations. Camper registration envelopes are located in the campgrounds.
